theFORCEbook: Episode II

While perusing theFORCEbook.com, I ran across a link to a great article by Emily Asher-Perrin that prompted some interesting discussion among FORCEbook fans.  This is by no means the first time such a discussion has occurred on theFORCEbook As a matter of fact this kind of thing happens all the time on the site; and is one of the main reasons why every passionate Star Wars fan should join.  Fans on this site aren’t only passionate about Star Wars, but intelligent and talented as well. For example, one of my first and best encounters was with eboggs95, a 2nd generation Star Wars fan (meaning he wasn’t alive when the original trilogy was released) who edited a great video that does a good job of expressing a lot of my own feelings about the Saga.

Being a passionate Star Wars fan, it is important to surround yourself with other people with whom you can share and enhance your fandom. There are many such persons, talented podcasters and artists on theFORCEbook who fit this bill.

If you haven't joined theFORCEbook.com, yet, then you should give it a try.

TheFORCEbook is here!

With theforcebook.com Star Wars fans everywhere can communicate,
exchange information and make new friends!

Ever go online to Facebook or Twitter and wonder where the 'real' Star Wars fans are? Or, get tired of that persistent tweeter who has never seen Star Wars, but insists on negatively tweeting about it. Want a place where you can talk about Star Wars 24/7 and let your fangirl or fanboy freak flag fly. Well www.starwars.com, the official star wars site is always there, but now we have a place where we can communicate with other Star Wars fans from all over the world in an unofficial environment. Kind of like surfing the net at home instead of on your company pc where big brother is watching.
It is a brand new social environment that can be whatever we Star Wars fans make of it. It seems to be a blending of existing social networking sites, but with a Star Wars flair. So far, my favorite feature is that you can post on theFORCEbook and then share your comments on other social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google Buzz, Delicious, Digg, Linked In, StumbleUpon, MySpace and FriendFeed with relative ease.
The FORCEbook camps have already begun: Light side, Dark side, Bounty Hunters...There are groups for collecting, Clone Wars and of course Star Wars News. Join now so you can get the username you've always wanted. See you @ theFORCEbook.com.

Join me on theFORCEbook.

May the Force Be With You Always!
